Casa Familia
The foundations of the villa were constructed in 2002 by a creative and talented man from France. He wanted to build a dream house for his mother, with a great big pool in the front, and with doors and windows facing the pool from every bedroom. Sadly, he passed away prior to seeing his goal completed. In 2022, the property was listed for sale and we decided to reconstruct it in line with what we believe to be his vision.
The first picture ever taken was this one. hidden i knee-high grass and overgrown bushes was a beautiful house with a lot of potential! but we could see the ankle-high walls showing in the grass and we knew directly that this was a hidden gem! =)
The previous owner did start this project 15 years ago but didnt come far. Only a pile of rubbish was layed out filled with glassbottles and sticks. We decided to follow up on his plans and created a Barbeque in this footmark. It went splendidly!
in early 2000’s there was a huge flood in the area that damaged alot of properties. in the first image you can see the water levels on the doors. it was definelty needed to upgrade the kitchen to something modern. it really did the trick! =)
The hearth of Casa Familia must be the pool. This was also one of the most stressful parts of this journey since it has never been used before and it was left for 15 years without any maintanance. There were some direct needs that was abvious. we needed to finnish the curb around the pool, paint it, and buy a new pump and crossing fingers! amazingly it did work just fine! =)
